Tonight at the Education Auditorium at the University of Regina the Saskatchewan branch of the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives is hosting a free public talk by the former Parliamentary budget officer Kevin Page (pictured). The talk, which starts at 7 p.m., is titled The State of Canada’s Institutions: What It Means For Our Democracy and Prosperity.

Shadows of Liberty addresses the impact of media concentration on our society. It screens tonight and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Friday and Sunday at 9 p.m. The other film on the bill is Greedy Lying Bastards and it examines the climate change denial industry. It screens Thursday and Saturday at 9 p.m. and Friday and Sunday at 7 p.m.
