Next Monday (Sept. 16) Dr. John Courtney, who sat on the three member Saskatchewan Electoral Boundaries Commission along with Justice Ronald Mills and SARM president David Marit, will give a talk on the year-long experience which saw the province’s federal electoral boundaries dramatically reworked to create five stand-alone urban ridings in Saskatoon and Regina to replace the hybrid urban/rural ridings that existed previously.
The talk is titled Facts Are Stubborn Things: Readjusting Saskatchewan’s Federal Electoral Boundaries In 2012-13. It’s being hosted by the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy and will be held in Saskatoon at the Prairie Room of the Diefenbaker Building at the University of Saskatchewan. The talk will be simulcast from the second floor of the Gallery Building at the College Ave. Campus between 10:30 a.m.-noon.
