The Gateway Festival goes this weekend in the Badlands area near Bengough, SK. If you check the website you’ll see that there’s a pretty sweet line-up highlighted by Steve Earle & the Dukes, the Corb Lund Band, Yukon Blonde and Rah Rah. Before that happens, though, there’s a kick-off party Thursday night at the Exchange that will showcase some of the festival talent for a Regina audience.

Featured on the bill are Indigo Joseph, Shotgun Jimmie, Harlan Pepper, the Extroverts and Slow Down, Molasses. Tickets are $12 and doors are at 7 p.m. And as an added bonus, Shotgun Jimmie is doing a free noon-hour show on the F.W. Hill Mall on Thursday as well as part of the Downtown Summer concert Series.
