Album art aside, everything I’ve seen from GRMLN’s new album, Empire, has had me pumped. The title of the lead track, “Teenage Rhythm”, might try a little hard, but it draws immediate and favorable comparisons to Prairie Dog house band These Estates in my mind. Main guy Yoodoo Park makes guitar music with pop hooks, which is firmly in my musical wheelhouse.
Now, Fake DIY has a stream of Empire, so I can tell you the album lives up to “Teenage Rhythm”. But don’t take this dummy’s word for it: listen for yourself.
