Here’s a link to a CBC report on the recent discovery by the NASA spacecraft Cassini that’s been in orbit around Saturn (pictured) since 2004 of a “massive” hurricane at the ringed planet’s north pole.
The eye of the hurricane is approximately 2000 km in diameter, which is 20 times larger than a typical hurricane on Earth, and winds on the outer edge of the storm have been clocked at 530 k.p.h. Fueled by water vapour in the atmosphere, the storm is believed to have been raging on Saturn for a number of years now.
