The daughter of the late Canadian folk singer Kate McGarrigle and American folk artist Loudon Wainwright III, Martha has been over-shadowed somewhat as a performer by her older, more flamboyant brother Rufus. But she’s been active in the music biz since the late ’90s, and has carved out a pretty decent career for herself.
In October, she released her third full-length studio album Come Home To Mama. In her Prairie Dog review (scroll down to find it) Vanda Schmockel gave it three dogs out of five. Not a glowing endorsement, but not a trash job either.
