In the Regina Symphony Orchestra schedule, this is classed as a special performance. It’s being presented in collaboration with Sakewewak Artist’s Collective, and will feature guest artist Ramses Calderon. Born in El Salvador, Calderon studied guitar as a youth with some of Central America’s most accomplished composers and performers.

Calderon has resided in Regina for five or six years now, where he has been active both as a musician and a community educator. For this performance, which goes at Westminster United Church (3025 13th Ave.) at 8 p.m, he’ll be playing a mix of new and historic music from Mexico, El Salvador and Guatemala.
