The Once are a trio based in St. John’s, Newfoundland. They play a mix of traditional and contemporary folk music, and are apparently renown for their vocal harmonies. They’ve been nominated for both Juno and East Coast Music Awards, and are touring in support of their new album Song For Memory.
Monday night they make a return visit to Creative City Centre, where they played a show awhile back in 2012. Doors are at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $20. To give you a taste, here’s video of them covering Queen’s song “You’re My Best Friend”:
