To celebrate Heritage Week, the Heritage Conservation Branch of the provincial Ministry of Parks, Culture & Sport is presenting a free talk Thursday night by Donovan Rypkema (pictured) at Artesian on 13th at 7 p.m.
Rypkema is the president of Heritage Strategies International, and in a talk titled Housing and Heritage — The Missed Connection he’ll be discussing the economic and social benefits of repurposing heritage buildings to provide much needed housing stock and other community benefits to revitalized urban neighbourhoods.
