Cible De Dieu is a solo work by Montreal-based choreographer and dancer Jacques Poulin-Denis (pictured above). It’s being presented as part of Magdance 2 at the MacKenzie Art Gallery Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 15 at 1:30 p.m.
Working with his company Grand Poney, Poulin-Denis draws on influences in dance, music and theatre to create his performances. The title of this work translates as Target of God, and it explores the human need to understand our place in the universe.
In addition to the Magdance partners New Dance Horizons and the MacKenzie Gallery, the Fransaskois Performing Arts Network is also involved as a co-presenter of this work. Tickets are $20. For more information call 525-5393.
