Pictured above is the new quarter that the Royal Canadian Mint is unveiling on March 12.

In place of the usual caribou, it features a prehistoric creature called a Quetzalcoatlus that inhabited the Western Interior Sea that ran from the Arctic to the Gulf of Mexico during the Late Cretacious period around 65 million years ago.
