According to legend (or at least Wikipedia) this Irish-Canadian punk band was formed in Kingston on St. Patrick’s Day in 1990. But according to the Pump Roadhouse’s website, the band is currently in the midst of a 25th anniversary tour. So the math, from one perspective or another, doesn’t add up.
But one thing is for certain, the Mahones have been around for a good while. And when they take the stage they put on a rollicking good show. Tickets for tomorrow night’s gig at the Pump are $7, and to get you “pumped” here’s video from 2011 of the band performing “A Great Night For the Lash”:
