We hate it when there’s a typo in the first paragraph of a story and so does Kristopher. The grain farmer, machinist and stop-motion animator was apoplectic when he alerted us to a missing “in” in the following sentence from Paul Dechene’s interview with Mythbuster Adam Savage: “The show that basically reinvented science education on the television … is [in] its 11th season on Discovery Channel.”
Actually Kristopher was super friendly. The ACAD grad wins a Typo Wiener T-shirt and $10, which he invested in Bushwakker’s Mistletoe ale. It was fun meeting him and talking about Ray Harryhausen, The Brothers Quay, NFB animation and his grandfather, a loyal Prairie Dog reader (and hello!).
ONE FRAME AT A TIME Spot a typo in this issue and e-mail the details to email@example.com (write TYPO in the subject field). Please include the page it was on and the article and sentence it was in. To be eligible, typos must be in editorial content such as articles, listings, headlines or photo cutlines. Next deadline is EARLY: Monday, Dec. 16. The Wiener (who will be notified by e-mail) must be available to come to our office on the Scarth Street pedestrian mall Wednesday, Dec. 18 to collect their prize and pose for a picture. Happy holidays!
