Dwayne Varga
The last Prairie Dog had two sections: the regular paper and a Junofest guide. The sections were paginated separately, but as Alert Wiener Dwayne (and others) pointed out, our contents page listed numbers all the way up to 44, even though the highest page number you’d find in the paper was page 24 (the length of the main section). OH, THE HORROR. Anyway, we gave Dwayne $10 and a Typo Wiener T-shirt.
Dwayne is a civil servant who likes “Prairie Dog, dining out, live theatre, the RSO, the RPL theatre, movies, musical happenings and browsing through good antique shops.” He’s also possibly the first Typo Wiener to compliment our “groovy” covers. Thanks!
Dwayne will spend his prize money on weekend soup and breakfast. Look for him at his favourite table (48, next to the window) in his favourite diner (a SECRET).
THE JUNOS OVERLOADED OUR PAGINATION SYSTEM, CAPTAIN Spot a typo in this issue and e-mail the details to typo@prairiedogmag.com (write TYPO in the subject field). Please include the page it was on, and the article and sentence it was in. Typos include misspelled words (including names), garbled grammar and general gibberish. Factual errors don’t count but formatting mistakes do. To be eligible, typos must be in editorial content such as articles, listings, headlines and photo cutlines. Next deadline is Wednesday, May 8 at noon and the winner (who will be notified by e-mail) must be available to come to our office on the Scarth Street pedestrian mall Friday, May 10 to collect their prize and pose for a picture. Good luck!
