In last issue’s news section Top 6, we accidentally printed “Toronto police office” when we meant to print “Toronto police officer”. Obviously the two are very different things. We also bungled the placement of a comma. Can’t we do anything right? Thank goodness for Alert Wiener Lindsay Reakes, who caught the error. Lindsay earned $10 and a Typo Wiener T-shirt. The part-time university student, who is very knowledgeable about power outages and bubble wrap, will spend the cash on coffee, “and maybe some gum to get rid of coffee stink breath.”
Congratulations, Lindsay!

Please include the page it was on, and the article and sentence it was in. Typos include misspelled words (including names), garbled grammar and general gibberish. Factual errors don’t count but formatting mistakes do. To be eligible, typos must be in editorial content such as articles, listings, headlines and photo cutlines. Next deadline is Wednesday, April 24 at noon. The winner (who will be notified by e-mail) must be available to come to our office on the Scarth Street pedestrian mall Friday, April 26 to collect their prize and have their picture taken. Good luck!
