Thunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson has passed away but his influence is still felt all over the world. Take this Australian television show for example.
Danger 5 is kind of a live action version of Thunderbirds set in an alternate 1960’s where Hitler has just started WWII and a group of five international agents are assigned each week to thwart and try to kill Hitler.
Created by Dario Russo and David Ashby whose previous work was a web series called Italian Spiderman which pretended to be a lost 1970’s Italian movie knock-off of Spider-Man. Danger 5 premiered earlier this year in Australia and is now available in the U.S. on Hulu. There are only six episodes so far, seven if you count the web episode that kicked off the series but was only available on Youtube.
And as an added bonus for some of the other prairie dog writers each Danger 5 episode features someone dying and then giving the recipe for the perfect cocktail with their dying breath. I’m not sure if they can actually be mixed into the perfect drink but that’s for someone else to figure out.
