I don’t know if the inspiration for this monthly event hosted by local comic Jayden Pfeifer came from Mystery Science Theatre 3000 (or MST3K for aficionados) or if the format was conceived independently. But the similarities are striking. Both involve the screening of an uber-cheesy movie with commentary being offered over top of the “action” unfolding on the screen.
Tonight’s show goes at Creative City Centre in beautiful downtown Regina. Doors are at 7:30 p.m., and there’s a $5 admission charge. And popcorn! Did I mention popcorn?
