Dear Stephen Harper:

After cutting funds and programs for young offenders and others in Canada’s correctional system, after tying judges’ hands concerning sentencing with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, how dare you — HOW DARE YOU, SIR — criticize Corrections Canada officials for how they treated Ashley Smith in custody before her death.

Those officers were doing what the Conservative Party told them they could do to prisoners.
