Just in case you still have a hankering for more thrills, here is 2010’s I Saw the Devil.

This Korean thriller from director Jee-woon Kim (A Tale of Two Sisters, The Good, the Bad, the Weird) is one messed up film. Min-sik Choi (Oldboy) stars as a remorseless serial killer. One of his victims happens to be the fiancee of Byung-hun Lee (The Good, the Bad, the Weird). Lee is a secret agent and his fiancee’s father is Squad Chief of the police.

Lee quickly starts to track down the killer without the help of the police. He finds Min-Sik Choi and while he desperately wants to kill him, Lee decides that first “I will kill you when you are in the most pain. When you’re in the most pain, shivering out of fear, then I will kill you. That’s a real revenge. A real complete revenge.” The end results are a messed up twisted game of cat and mouse. It’s an excellent but disturbing film.
