Curated by Regina-based performance artist Michele Sereda and Saskatoon-based artist Adrian Stimson, this is the second annual Live Art House Party (that’s a photo from last year’s event at left). It’s kind of a mish-mash of different types of art activity ranging from performance and film to music and storytelling.
The MC this year is Simon Moccasin, and artists who will be taking part include Roberto Lopez Lopez, Chancz Sutherland, Dominic Gregorio, Thirza Cuthand, Arron Naytowhow and Ryan J Bradshaw. Other highlights include a live internet feed from Perm which is located in the Siberian region of Russia, and birthday cake in honour of the Dunlop Art Gallery’s Golden Jubilee Anniversary.
The party goes Saturday at Artesian on 13th (doors at 8 p.m., tickets $15 adv. and $20 door). Tickets can be obtained by contacting Mysteria Gallery at 2706 13th Ave. or phoning 522-0080.
And if you’re looking for something to do tonight, there’s a swack of music happening. Here’s a rundown: The Lazy MKs and Young Benjamins are at the Artful Dodger ($10 adv. $15 door). DJ Noor, who readers recently voted Regina’s best DJ, has a dance party type event alled Euphoria happening at Pure Ultra Lounge on Dewdney ($20). Also, there’s a show by Nick Faye and Eden Rohatensky at Mercury Cafe (9 p.m., $10). Finally, at O’Hanlon’s Pub there’s a new local band called Coldest Night of the Year (two members of which are Tiny and Carl Johnson) doing an opening set before Fly Points take the stage.
