Based in Ontario, the Sunparlour Players are a folk duo consisting of Andrew Penner and Michael Rosenthal. Aside from their music, they’re distinguished by the line of Sunparlour preserves (Handsome Strong Mustard and Red Pepper Jelly) that they often have for sale at their shows.
Tonight the duo is playing a show at the Artful Dodger at 1631 11th Ave. (doors at 7:30 p.m.) They’ll be backed up by an experimental folk rock quintet fronted by Kalle Mattson. To give you a taste of the former, here’s the video for their song “Runner”.
