The Regina Rage’s abbreviated four-game LFL season comes to a close this afternoon with a game at Brandt Centre against their provincial rivals the Saskatoon Sirens (3 p.m. kick off). In Greek mythology, sirens were devious creatures who used to lure sailors to their doom with their alluring music, voices and beauty. In this tilt, though, the Sirens will be looking to put the hurt on the Rage. At stake is a berth in the first annual LFL Bowl which goes Nov. 18 at 3 p.m. in Abbotsford unless the LFL decides to reschedule it because of a potential conflict with the CFL West final which will be played in Vancouver that same afternoon.
Earlier this month (Oct. 6, to be exact) the Rage and Sirens faced off in Saskatoon with the Rage scoring an exciting come from behind 26-20 victory. As you perhaps heard, not all of the action at the game was confined to the field. Tempers apparently flared in the stands too. So if you’re planning on attending this afternoon’s game, make sure you behave, okay?
