Over the next two nights, the Saskatchewan Filmpool is hosting two programs featuring the work of Quebec-born filmmaker Lysanne Thibodeau (pictured). Tonight’s program is titled Montreal, Berlin & Back and includes seven films and videos made by Thibodeau between 1978 and 2003. During that stretch, she spent over 14 years living in Germany, and the films are a hybrid of documentary, fiction and essay.
Tuesday night’s program is titled The Cinematic Essay and consists of a workshop and artist talk in which Thibodeau discusses her thoughts on film as a medium of self-expression.
The Saskatchewan Filmpool is at 1822 Scarth. Tonight’s screening goes at 7:30 p.m., while Tuesday’s program runs from 7-9 p.m. For more info call 757-8818.
