According to Exclaim!, punks Ceremony will be taking time off from supporting Bloc Party on tour to play Regina. They’ll playing the Exchange on Wednesday, September 26.

Prairie dog‘s Mason Pitzel reviewed their latest album, Zoo, when it came out on Matador Records earlier this year. He wasn’t entirely sold on the record, saying that “unlike their [labelmates Fucked Up], whose epics have become even more ambitious on Matador, Ceremony have retreated into more traditional territory with Zoo.” That said, I’m guessing Pitzel is psyched these guys are coming through, and you should be too.

And for the heck of it — and since Exclaim! also thought this worth seeing — here’s the band playing the Violent Femmes’ “Kiss Off” for the A.V. Club’s Undercover series. Not hugely representative of what the band sounds like, but still a Femmes cover and still fun.
