A lot to feel good about on the long list for the Polaris Music Prize and no glaring exclusions, at least as far as my tired eyes can tell.
If you’re interested in seeing Polaris Prize long listers live in Regina, you’ll have a whole bunch of opportunities. The Regina Folk Festival is bringing in the Barr Brothers, Cold Specks and Great Lake Swimmers. Kathleen Edwards is coming back through for her rescheduled Regina date at the Exchange in October. Parlovr are coming through with Hooded Fang on Wednesday, June 20, also at the Exchange. Bry Webb is rolling through a couple of days from now, on Saturday, June 16 down at the Artful Dodger.
And heck, it’s such a big list, I might even be missing a few.
