Received a press release from SaskMusic yesterday indicating that they were accepting submissions for their 2013 compilation CD. It’s a promotional tool that SaskMusic uses in its dealings with media and other players in the music industry to showcase Saskatchewan artists, both within the province and at different events like NXNE and SXSW that it attends throughout the year.
To be eligible for consideration, you have to be a current member of SaskMusic, a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant who is a permanent resident of the province, you must own the copyright on the song you submit and it can’t have been released more than two years ago.
The application deadline is July 13 at 5 p.m. More information can be obtained by visiting the SaskMusic website or calling 1-800-347-0676.
