Formed in 1987, this roots rock group from Toronto were a staple on the Canadian music scene in the 1990s. Plagued by label troubles throughout their career, which hindered the distribution of their music, the Skydiggers have also weathered a number of line-up changes over the years, so for the last while they’ve been flying under the radar.

Earlier this year, though, the band (which continues to be lead by Andy Maize and Josh Finlayson) released their eighth studio album Northern Shore.

Touring in support of that album, plus their extensive back catalogue, The Skydiggers will be headlining a show at the Exchange on Friday. Tickets are $18. To rekindle memories, here’s video from a few years ago of the band performing “Hello Beautiful Life”.
