I don’t have a ton of information on what this performance will entail, other than that it’s presented by the Youth Ballet & Contemporary Dance Company of Saskatchewan. There’s a show tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Conexus Arts Centre, and a matinee tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. Tickets are $11.25-$19.25.
The Artistic Director of the YBCS is Richard Zimich. In mid-April, he received the Mayor’s Arts & Business Award in the category of Excellence in Arts Management. I know from speaking with him earlier this year that he has big plans to grow the company and create a place where emerging dancers from the province can pursue professional careers.
