Big Wreck, which were based in Boston, and fronted by Canuck Ian Thornley, were huge in the mid to late-90s. They disbanded in 2002, with Thornley enjoying some success with an eponymously titled solo project.

From the wreckage of the original band, a new version of Big Wreck has now emerged featuring Thornley and original member Brian Doherty. In 2011, they released their third album Albatross.

Tonight, they’re playing a show with back-up band Rikers at Pump Roadhouse (8 p.m., tickets $30).

To give you a sense of what they’ve been up to lately, here’s the video for the title track off their latest album.
