Geez Greg, how could you forget that today is CVAF Street Fair day? It’s not like prairie dog is a sponsor or anything…

Anyway, this year’s CVAF Street Fair is kicking off right now! And it looks like the weather is going to cooperate. This morning, at least. As always, it’ll be a great place to check out work by local artists and crafters. And to buy minidonuts and hotdogs.

And there will be music and entertainment all day long too.

Last night, I volunteered at the Fada Dance/Improv/Burlesque/Screening Under The Steeple event at Artesian and it was fantastically fun. Have I mentioned before what a great venue the Artesian is? Well, I should have. It’s amazing. And the lounge in the basement is the rec room I’ve always wanted but have never had.

Tonight, I’ll be hanging out at the Johnny Hatch/Nancy Ray Guns show at St Mary’s Church (starts at 8pm). It will be awesome. Say hi, if you make it out. I’ll be the one wearing a hat!

Also worth checking out will be the Lazy MKs/Bell Plaine/DownBeat show at Artesian and the Andino Suns and the Latin Project at the Cathedral Neighbourhood Centre. Oh, and Tahnis Cunningham & Ray Bell, Sun Zoom Sparx and Halteras will be outdoors at the Holy Rosary Park Stage. That’s all going on tonight. Frankly, there’s too much worthy entertainment.
