It’s that time of year again — the lineup announcement for the Regina Folk Festival.

The list, which you can view after the jump, has all the variety you’d expect from the festival by now. There are some established favourites along with lesser known artists. There are some bands who’ve come through Regina before and some that will be new to the Queen City. Some are on the frontier of music today, while some are rooted very much in tradition.

I talked with RFF artistic director Sandra Butel a few days ago. Over the course of the next few days, I’ll be posting some bits of that conversation, covering the process of putting together this year’s festival and what she’s excited to see come the weekend of August 10.

As well, there’ll be posts dedicated to some of the artists playing the festival, with info from Butel and some other sources.

In the meantime, have a look at the lineup as it stands below.
