With the University of Regina engaged in planning to revitalize the old College Avenue Campus this talk by Don Black, which is part of a lecture series called Explore Regina, is a timely opportunity to learn about the campus’s history.

College Ave. encompasses more than just the campus, of course. It also features a number of historic homes, along with the Royal Saskatchewan Museum and the old Anglican archdiocese property on the south-east corner of College & Broad.

I won’t be able to go to the talk, which is at the RPL Theatre from 6:30-8:30 p.m., because tonight’s production night for our March 22 issue, but it should be interesting. That’s Darke Hall in the above photo, by the way. And a tidbit Black will likely discuss during his presentation is what reputedly lies under the front grounds of the RSM. For more info call 777-6011.
