When I was in high school, I had a curling buddy whose dad’s first name was Hedley. The family was of Scandanavian descent, I believe, and were farmers.
Tonight, the Canadian rock band Hedley (pictured) is playing a show at Brandt Centre. They’re from Abbotsford, and apparently took their name from a B.C. mining town near the U.S. border.
Also appearing on the bill are the Canuck rapper Classified, along with two other singers: Anjulie and Kay. The show starts at 7 p.m., and tickets are $34.50 and $49.50.
Here’s the video for Hedley’s 2011 song “Invincible”. And as a bonus, here’s Classified’s 2009 video for “Oh … Canada”.
