It’s been a shitty last 10 days for Saskatchewan’s arts community.
Tonight there’s a bit of good news out of Ottawa. That’s where the Juno Awards are being held. The gala goes tomorrow night on CBC at 6 p.m. But at a pre-gala bun toss tonight, Saskatoon retro-rockers The Sheepdogs (pictured) picked up two awards: New Group of the Year and Rock Album of the Year.
I hope someone notifies premier Brad Wall about this pronto. We can’t have these scruffy artsy-fartsy pot-smoking shits representing Saskatchewan on the national/international stage. We have potash, oil and other resources to sell, after all.
