When I first saw the splashy ad in the Leader-Post last week for some sort of day-long Power Within leadership/motivation/communication/financial advice seminar at Brandt Centre on April 13 I assumed it was just going to be a simulcast where Dr. Phil (pictured) and the other speakers would be dispensing their wisdom from afar.
But when I checked Evraz Place’s website tonight to update all the listings for our March 22 issue I discovered I was mistaken. In fairness, the ad was pretty vague. What it said, if I recall, was that Dr. Phil would be live. But I wasn’t sure if that was “flesh and blood” live, or just broadcast live.
Turns out that if you decide to attend the event, and opt for the $395 Emerald Package, not only do you get preferred seating at Brandt Centre, you also get a photo op with the Doc himself. How sweet is that?
I also found out from the Evraz site that the March 31 tryouts for the Lingerie Football League’s Regina Rage are going to be held at Credit Union EventPlex. As reported earlier, registration is at 7:30 p.m. Hopefuls must be 18 or older, and are advised to wear athletic or gym attire.
