The other day Sir Paul McCartney (pictured) announced that after smoking his “share” of marijuana since the heyday of The Beatles in the mid-1960s, he was going to stop using the herb in order to set a good example for his eight year-old daughter.
Sixty-nine years old himself, and still performing regularly in sold-out stadiums around the world, McCartney provides definitive proof, as if any more is needed, about the dangers of smoking pot and further justification — again, as if any is needed — for provisions in the Harper government’s Bill C-10 that would create mandatory minimum jail sentences for anyone caught selling or even giving away a small amount of cannabis.
