If you’re looking for Craig Silverman over at RegretTheError.com, you are now officially in the wrong spot. His fantastic blog, pointing out media apologies, retractions and mess-ups, is now housed over at Poynter. To get folks acquainted with the new digs, that’s where he’s posted his round-up of 2011’s most notable errors and corrections.
Typo of the Year, if you’re curious, is the Osama/Obama confusion everyone was so befuddled by when the latter told the world the former had been killed. Without looking, I’ll assume there’s a piss-poor who’s-on-first routine based on this mess.
Silverman’s a great and entertaining writer and his list is very comprehensive. If you haven’t been reading him over the past year, this is a good place to catch up. Get to it.
