A fan favourite in Regina, Sarah Slean has played here several times in recent years either as part of the Regina Folk Festival or its related Concert Series. This fall, Slean released a double CD called Land & Sea. The latter disc, Sea, was recorded with a 21-piece orchestra, while the former CD Land features Slean in more conventional singer-songwriter mode.
For this concert at the Exchange tonight (doors at 8 p.m., tickets $25 adv. and $30 door), Slean will be performing on piano and be accompanied by band. To give you a taste, here’s a link to the video for “Set It Free”, the first single off the double album.
