Presented by New Dance Horizons, this showcase features work by five prairie choreographers. Funding is provided by CanDance, and as the showcases’s title implies, it will be making a circuit of prairie cities to promote interest in contemporary dance:

The five works include Quiver by Nicole Mion (Calgary), which will be danced by James Gnam; Under Cover of Darkness by Davida Monk (Calgary), which will be danced by Hilary Maxwell; 30% Gone, which is both choreographed and performed by Brian Webb (Edmonton); The Occasion of Our Passing by Brent Lott (Winnipeg), which will be danced by Lott and Sarah Roche; and finally, Soft Foot by Robin Poitras (Regina), which will be performed by Ziyan Kwan (pictured above).

Prairie Dance Circuit runs tonight at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m. at NDH’s studio at 2207 Harvey St. in east central Regina. Tickets are General $25, and  Students & Seniors $20. For more info phone 525-5393.
