Here’s a link to CBC’s report that veteran Regina MLA John Nilson has been appointed interim leader of the Saskatchewan NDP. It was expected that a veteran politician would assume the role. The question remains, though, who will the NDP turn to when it comes time for party faithful to elect a full-time leader. Will it be a familiar face like Nilson, or someone who represents the next generation of New Democrats?
If you click the link you’ll likely get a chuckle. There’s a photo of Nilson and his wife dressed in green at a Rider game. I think every photo I saw of Brad Wall mainstreeting in the recent election campaign he was wearing a white & greenĀ golf shirt with a Rider logo on it.
