I was just image-Googling dinosaur art for a secret mission and found a pile of work by artist Kota Ezawa and then I got all into it. I love Ezawa’sstuff–it’s beautiful, low-fi, looks simplistic but isn’t. The drawing is both mechanical and honest, which is an empty-sounding statement you’ll just have to trust me on. I’ve looked at a lot of drawing over the years and I know honest from not.
Ezawa’s work also reminds me of some of prairie dog’s greatest design. Artists: if they didn’t invent stuff for graphic designers to steal, who would?
