Directed by Aaron Sorenson, this 2005 film stars the late First Nations actor Gordon Tootoosis as the nephew of a elderly tabloid-reading man in a remote Cree community in northern Alberta who becomes convinced that the great country music star Hank Williams is still alive and sets out on a road trip to find him. Hank Williams First Nation screens tonight at the RPL Theatre at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 9 p.m. I couldn’t find the trailer, but here’s video of Hank Williams performing “Cold Cold Heart”.
