2010 marked the 75th anniversary of two seminal moments in Canadian history — the On-to-Ottawa Trek and Regina Riot. To commemorate these events, which occured during the depths of the Great Depression, and helped usher in a more progressive political and economic system, we did a cover feature in our June 4 issue (cover at left).
Today at 2 p.m. at the University of Regina Library, noted local historian Bill Brennan will deliver a talk on the subject A New Look at the 1935 On-to-Ottawa Trek and Regina Riot. Should be interesting.
