I posted on the Regina Folk Festival yesterday. It kicks off this evening, and that’s where I’ll be tonight. Once KT Tunstall winds up her headline show on the mainstage at mid-night, the option always exists of trekking over to the German Club (1727 St. John St) for the RFF After Dark Carnival. Featured tonight will be sets by Etran Finatawa and local favourites Rah Rah.
If you’re not able to make it, but you still want to partake of some quality live music local jazz/funksters the Nancy Ray-Guns are playing tonight at O’Hanlon’s Pub. They’ll be backed up by Chad Kichula & the Douglas Ave. Garage Band. I’m not sure what time they’ll get going, but I can’t see the Ray-Guns hitting the stage until after the RFF mainstage is done for the night.
To close, here’s video of the Ray-Guns performing “What a Night” from a CD release show they had at the Exchange last August.
