Some bands are best indoors, others are great outdoors but after dark. Turns out Library Voices are a great outdoors daytime band. Kim has a kabillion pics she’ll be putting up later but for now, here’s a slightly beached-out bleached-out shot (Whitworth, alas, is no photographer) of a happy crowd at one of the liveliest shows I’ve ever seen at the Folk Fest. “Proof of what a lot of sugar in your diet can do,” as emcee Fred Penner said. (Wish I’d ha my camera pointed at Penner when lead singer Carl Johnson smooched him after the set. “I won’t wash that cheek for weeks!” said Fred.)
