Can’t believe I missed this bit of silliness. Rabbi Yehuda Levin — an outspoken and apparently somewhat influential religious figure out of Brooklyn — is claiming last week’s earthquake in the eastern U.S. was God’s punishment for gay marriage being made legal — a “Homoquake”, if you will.
You can see the video over at his website. I’m not linking to it because it’s a noxious homophobic rant but you might want to check it out because his beard is kind of cute.
Anyway, his argument is nonsense. Gay marriage doesn’t cause earthquakes. But it does magically compel otherwise heterosexual Pastor Ted Haggard to hire gay male prostitutes.
