A companion festival of sorts to the Sasktel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival which runs June 24-July 3 in Saskatoon, this mini-fest runs June 16-19.

As far as free shows goes, some local jazz groups will be playing in Victoria Park Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m.-3:45 p.m.. Saturday, there’ll also be free shows at Cathedral Village Freehouse 3-7 p.m., Bushwakker 2-5 p.m. and Crave 9 p.m.-midnight.

There’s also three ticketed events:

June 18, the University of Regina Jazz Band is performing at Applause Dinner Theatre at 8 p.m. ($25). The next day, there’s a Father’s Day Brunch at the Regina Inn featuring Juno award-winner KellyLee Evans (pictured) at 11 a.m. ($20-$35). That night, there’s a concert by Hilario Duran and his Latin Jazz Band with special guest Jane Bunnett at Applause Dinner Theatre at 7 p.m. ($30).
