You’re probably familiar with the origins of this “action” flick which stars Rutger Hauer as the titular hobo, and was written by John Davies and directed by Jason Eisener. It began life as a faux trailer in the Grindhouse collaboration between Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez a few years back, and now is its own stand-alone feature.

As you can well imagine, there’s plenty of blood and guts. And if you’re so inclined, you can read in some social commentary about homelessness  and poverty and other touchstones of our neo-conservative age.

Hobo With A Shotgun screens at the RPL Theatre tonight at 7 p.m. Here’s the trailer.
