Born in Newfoundland, Curran’s now part of the still-going-strong-after-20-years-which-would-seem-to-indicate-it’s-here-to-stay-Halifax-music-scene that-we-here-in-Saskatchewan-would-do-well-to-study- and- learn-from-so-that-as-Saskatoon-and-Regina-continue-to-grow-we’ll-be-able-to-develop-similarly-vibrant-music-scenes-here.
Curran released her first album in 2000. Her fourth, Hunter, Hunter, won the 2010 Juno Award in the Solo Roots and Traditional Album category. Tomorrow night at 8 p.m., she’s playing the Exchange. The concert’s being presented by Grassroots Regina, and Erin Costelo is also performing. Tickets are $12.
