First, rest in peace Tura Satana. The star of Russ Meyer’s classic Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! died on Friday at the age of 72. The New York Times has an obituary. And here’s Satana in some classic, ultraviolent Velveeta, from Pussycat:

Second, the word today is that Lois Lane is in the new Superman movie after all, and the casting rumours about a non-Lane female lead I mentioned yesterday referred to the Kryptonian supervillian Ursa (last scene in the first two Superman movies with Christopher Reeve). Diane Kruger as Ursa? Could do worse I suppose. But she’s no Tura Satana.
